| kclb media |
RPMI1640 with L-glutamine (300mg/L), 25mM HEPES and 25mM NaHCO3, 90%; heat inactivated fetal bovine serum (FBS), 10%
|
| subculturing |
Collect the cell in the 15ml tube, centrifuge, remove medium and add fresh medium
|
| note |
Oncogene : BRCA1 mutation, insertion C at nucleotide 5382 ; The cells grow as floating aggregates of large cell clusters.
This line is a B lymphoblastoid cell line initiated by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) transformation of peripheral blood lymphocytes obtained from the same patient as SCC-1395 ( a primary breast ductal carcinoma cell line). BRCA1 analysis revealed that this cell line is heterozygous for the BRCA1 5382C mutation, whereas the primary tumor cell line is homozygous for the same mutation.
|
| media change |
Remove two thirds of medium and add fresh medium (depending on cell density) every 2 to 3 days
