Remove medium, add fresh 0.25 % trypsin, 0.03 % EDTA solution for two minutes. Remove the trypsin and let the flask sit at room temperature for 10 minutes (or until the cells detach). Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks.

The line was derived from metastasis to the abdominal wall obtained from a patient after treatment with 5- fluorouracil.
The cells are negative for Dopa decarboxylase,CA19-9 and CEA but do not express the TAG-72 antigen
