| note |
the Hs 746T line was isolated at the Naval Biosciences Laboratory in 1973 from a stomach carcinoma metastatic to the leg of a 74 year old male caucasian. In vitro transformation properties were assayed at various early passages. Hs 746T exhibited gross alteration in size, shape and staining of cells with bizarre nuclear and nucleolar shapes. Colonies formed in Methocel and on confluent monolayers of normal human epithelial cells and fibroblasts
Penicillin-streptomycin were added to culture media (final concentration, 100 U/mL)
